April 8, 2020 Hi Will! You are in 6th grade now, and I'm proud to say you are in all Honors classes. You are friends with Andrew Copeland and Nora Brown, among others. You are in Orchestra and Choir. The first half of the year went fantastic for you, UNTIL... CORONAVIRUS! On March 13th, a Friday, you were told to clean out your lockers, because school was closing down for a while. The COVID-19 virus, called Coronavirus, started sweeping the nation. You have been e-learning from home 3 days a week. We are currently doing "Social Distancing", which means that we have to stay at least 6 feet away from people who aren't in our household. It's rough, but you love video games on Xbox, so it doesn't bother you that you can't play outside or go see people! On March 25th, Mom got a call saying that a girl from Knox needed a foster home. Her name is Audrianna McGinn, and she has come to stat with us. She has broken her leg while riding on your scooter on our road. Gas is down to $1.80 a gallon in places. Toilet paper and Lysol wipes are in very short supply. We signed you up for Dodgeball, but it was cancelled due to the virus. Mom is teaching from home all 5 days a week. You are e-learning Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, for now. We aren't sure if Mom is going back to school, but we know that Indiana schools won't meet again in person this school year. I hope the next letter has a lot more positive news. I love you. Dad
