Dear Will,
I worked some overtime tonight, and didn't get home until after 7pm. I gave you a bath, and decided to get in with you. It is really starting to sink in that you are doing more and more by yourself all the time, and you won't always need me to do certain things for you. I am trying to cherish and relish in the things that we do together.
We had a great time in the bath, and you said "Daddy, I don't ever want to get out. Let's just stay in here all night!"
Best part of my day, period!
You are a great part of my life, and I love spending time with you!
Love,
Dad

Dear Will,
You use the word "delicious" correctly, and it is adorable. Whenever I ask you what you like to do, you usually say Racing and Crashing, but sometimes you add Dancing.
You are taking violin lessons, and just learned how to hold your violin yesterday. Your Mom is so proud of you for this.
Love,
Dad

Dear Will,
Today you and I have the whole day to ourselves because Mom has to stay after school for a meeting. I asked you what you wanted to do today, and you said, "Play video games!" When I suggested playing with Hot Wheels instead, you thought that was a good idea.
We went to Walmart today, and you were running around like crazy. You didn't ask to go to the toy section, which was a surprise. You wanted to go to the book section and look at books.
It was the best part of the day.
Love,
Dad

First Letter
Will,
Today is November 6, 2011. I am starting this blog to write letters to you about things you cannot possibly understand yet. You are 3 years old, and you love Little Einsteins (tv), Team Umizoomi (tv), Hot Wheels cars (toy) and watching NASCAR races with Daddy.
You are so inquisitive! You always ask questions about things you don't understand.
You are very smart! You learn new games and words quickly.
Orange and Green are your favorite colors, and Cars 2 is your favorite movie.
You cannot wait to go visit Justin and Jared, and ask about them often.
Your listening skills aren't great, but what 3-year-old's are?
Your mom and I love you with all our hearts.
Love,
Dad
